Keys beginning with pk_live_ are publishable. They are meant to sit in your page source where anyone can read them. That is by design, not an oversight.
What a publishable key can do
- Render your configured calculator on a domain you have registered.
- Submit a capture from that domain into your tenant.
What it cannot do
- Read your leads.
- Unlock leads or incur unlock charges.
- Change your configuration, billing, or team.
- Function at all from a domain you have not registered.
Handling
Copy the key from the dashboard rather than retyping it. A single transposed character produces a silent render failure, which is a slow bug to find. Do not commit the key to a public repository — not because it is secret, but because it makes rotation harder to track later.
